Hunter Valley, also known as the Hunter Region, is situated within the state of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. Hunter Valley is composed of 11 Local Government Areas, several towns and cities. Hunter Valley is one of the most visited regions in NSW, with approximately 2.5 million visitors each year. Hunter Valley is around 120 to 310 kilometers north of Sydney or about 1.5 hours of travel by road.

 

Hunter Valley is home to over 120 wineries producing several varieties of wine. The Hunter Valley Wine Country is centered on the town of Pokolbin. Vineyards surrounding Pokolbin produce most of Hunter Valley’s iconic wines like the Shiraz & Semillon and Chardonnay. The area around Pokolbin has additional facilities like bistros, shopping outlets, golf courses, and rustic guesthouses. Explore along the Wollombi Valley and Broke Fordwich Wine Region which are two of the best wine- producing districts in Hunter Valley.
